Jeff Iftekaruddin
The Music Of Jeff Recording Artist Info:

Chicago born singer-songwriter Jeff Iftekaruddin has a destiny in the music industry. At the age of 17 he saw the video for Extreme’s “More than Words.” He received a guitar that Christmas and has never looked back. Jeff is currently releasing his latest album "Songs about Turtles, Wolves, and Stan the Man; music for kids who get it." The album is filled with songs that address issues like gaining independence, developing emotional awareness, and learning about conflict resolution. When performing, especially for students, Jeff wants to share his passion for music and why it is so important; to play it and to truly feel it. At Jeff's performances the students will be invited to participate with his impromptu, silly songs he writes just for them, composed on the spot based on their suggestions. After the concert (and sometimes during!) they will also be able to play his guitar and try out his guitar effects, as well as ask any questions about the world of music.
At an early age Jeff was exposed to many styles of music thanks to his parents. Jeff’s mother introduced him to popular American music and Jeff’s Father shared the music of his native India. From the Beatles to Vivaldi to classical sitar music, Jeff absorbed it all. His American and Indian Heritage played a huge role in Jeff’s love of music and personal development. He became fascinated with combining various genres of music to create his own style. Jeff’s unique voice, heartfelt lyrics, and production have led many to comment that he is truly distinguishing himself from the masses. Jeff spent one year in college studying abroad and exploring the continent of South America. After graduation Jeff abandoned his pursuit of becoming a psychologist to pursue his passion for creating music in the world.
Jeff bought a Tascam four track and the next phase of his career was launched. Over the course of the next three years Jeff recorded close to 500 songs. He then entered a professional studio adjacent to O’Hare airport. Amidst the roar of Jet engines, Jeff began to craft his own sound. Two years later, Jeff’s first album was completed. With it came a new decision: Jeff decided that he would record several of his songs in Spanish to reach out to the Latin American market.
Jeff’s primary goal in the music industry is to reach as many people as possible with his message that “no matter how bad things are they always get better. Jeff completed a documentary entitled: “Aaliyah, So Much More Than A Woman” featuring an interview with Jeff and a live performance of “Hush,“ a tribute song to the fallen R&B icon Aaliyah Haughton. Jeff was invited to Canada to perform in the annual Jeff Buckley tribute concert where he received accolades from Jeff Buckley’s mother for his rendition of “Witches Rave.”
Jeff has performed throughout India and discovered that no matter where he goes in the world, he always gains new fans. Jeff’s music knows no boundaries. His fans have ardently supported him throughout his journey. Jeff lives ultimately for the live performance. Getting lost in the music with hundreds of other people is nothing short of bliss for Jeff. Jeff has the fire in his heart to travel the road to meet his destiny. Let's rock!
